About Love (or the lack of it)
Care-experienced young people share their stories of love, bonding, hope and heartbreak as they move from placement to placement.
This is part of a workshop at Contact Theatre in Manchester led by The Verbatim Formula project that works with theatre, dance, beatboxing and poetry to address challenges of the care system in the UK.
Our Care Day
I attended the 2022 Our Care Day in parliament to push and champion for the government to take action on changing the care system in the UK for the better.

The Lucerna Project
The Lucerna Project was a drama based, online piece of work I created in my second year of University during the first lockdown in the UK. it's a website based project, that's aimed at SEND school students to teach them about Shakespeares Twelfth Night. Within this project I took on many roles, which included editing videos for the students (This included captioning) creating the graphics for the project & hosting a workshop with the students themselves, to tell them the story of Twelfth Night. I was also responsible for the organisation side of the project, which included risk assessing, planning the workshop schedules & the group working schedule.

Us To You
Us To You is a piece of the spoken word I created as a part of my final year project for University. The spoken word was formed after 8 workshops I hosted with 2 other care experienced people, with the aim of creating a piece of spoken word around the topic of our care experience. Alongside the creating of the spoken word itself, I also recorded & edited the film aspect of the piece.

Reclaim Care
A collective focused on healing together, supporting each other, and understanding our shared histories and imagining possible futures. "We recognise that care-experience is diverse in terms of intersectionality, length and type of care experience. We also recognise that there are others with similar experiences of familial displacement and we embrace collaboration amongst communities with shared experiences, including adoptees, individuals who have experienced estrangement or harmful separation, being orphaned or an unaccompanied asylum seeker, and birth parents harmed by the care system."
Life Labs
LifeLabs is an online hub for young people in or leaving care, to connect, share and learn together. Created in collaboration with care experienced young people, the site features a range of informative and helpful videos, that put advice and support at their fingertips.
